Shogenji (勝源寺) in Iwami. It was visited by the Magister of Iwami Ginzan every year. Some Magisters were buried in this temple as well.
These houses in Shirakawa Village are called Gassho-tsukuri (合掌造り). Gassho means "hands together". The steep roof avoids snow piling on it.
